Elly's amazing story of strength and survival

Elly

Elly was in an awful state when she was picked up by Inspector Helen and rushed her to RSPCA for veterinary care.

Poor Elly was emaciated to the point where every bone in her body was protruding through her skin, there was almost nothing left of her and vet staff were really concerned.

Elly had everything which she needed to heal and it wasn’t long before her true, sweet personality began to shine. She was well looked after thanks to generous animal lovers like you.

Elly weighed just 21 kilos upon arriving at RSPCA and was incredibly malnourished for a large Bull Arab girl… she needed a lot of feeding up! Thankfully, after a few months in care, Elly put on 13kgs and now weighs a much healthier 34kg!

With patience and love, Elly was nursed back to full health as her sweet personality began to shine through - look at her now!

Inspector Helen said, “Watching Elly blossom into a healthy and happy dog is the greatest reward any Inspector could hope for, it really makes up for the tough days we have on the road!”

Elly was adopted after making a full recovery and spent last holidays lounging on the couch with her new family, enjoying delicious meals and warm cuddles.

Thanks to your generosity, we can continue our vital work and make a real difference in the lives of animals just like Elly. Together, we can create a better future for animals in need.
