Martian’s life was already a battle against the odds, even as a 12-week-old kitten.
Brought in as a stray and making his way into care, RSPCA Dakabin’s team detected lameness on his front paw and knew he needed veterinary treatment.
It was determined poor Martian’s foot was injured beyond repair, with a decision being made for him to undergo amputation.
The next day Martian’s front right leg was successfully removed and because of his young age he was able to quickly bounce back from the procedure.
He progressed very well through his recovery and effectively adapted to life with just three legs.
During his time in care, he was described as a cat that captured hearts effortlessly. His desexing did little to dampen his spirit, in fact it only added to his charm.
After embodying sweetness in every purr and playful glance on his road to recovery, he was greenlit for adoption by vets.
Martian found his forever home after just five days. The tiny ball of fur settled right in and is now enjoying every minute of his new surrounds.
