A friendship meant to be
When senior dog Sadie arrived at the RSPCA with her feline friend Zoomie, their deep bond was undeniable. Sadie’s tail would wag with excitement whenever she spotted Zoomie, while Zoomie lovingly responded with gentle head bumps against his canine companion.
Though they were initially separated due to standard shelter procedures (dogs and cats are usually housed apart) it quickly became clear that these two were inseparable. Their love and friendship transcended species, showing us all that dogs and cats can be the best of friends.
Reunited and never apart
Recognizing their special connection, our Animal Care team made sure Sadie and Zoomie were reunited and placed together in the RSPCA Fundraising team’s office. Here, they could spend their days side by side, waiting for the perfect fur-ever home to come along.
This unique setup allowed them to play, cuddle, and enjoy each other’s company, just as they had before arriving in our care. And soon enough, the perfect adopter appeared, ready to welcome both Sadie and Zoomie into their heart and home.
